About Us

Since it’s opening in 1960 as a Leonard Cheshire Home, the Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation (BASR) has built a reputation for being a provider of outstanding medical and rehabilitation care for the whole community, with a particular focus on people with disabilities.
We have a clear vision with a strong drive to improve the quality of life of all people, in particular of those with disabilities.

Our story is one of a growing society with high hopes for the future, always responding to new changes and emerging needs of the Palestinian community.

Over 350 staff members, who show outstanding commitment in the way they serve our community, operate BASR.

Our staff members are our greatest asset; and we do our best to ensure every individual is treated with the best care and respect and is always at the center of everything we do.
