BASR - ABOUT US

About

BASR stands for Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation, founded in 1960 as one of Leonard Cheshire’s homes. Today, it is a non-profit, non-government organization that is nationally recognized for offering comprehensive medical and rehabilitation services to beneficiaries from different parts of Palestine, particularly those with special needs, regardless of their gender, age, religion or social class.
The BASR has worked constantly upon its commitment to enhance the overall quality of life of those with special needs, inspired by a mission to achieve total inclusion of the disabled into all aspects of community life. Since its inception, The BASR has diligently developed innovative programs and services in order to meet the emerging needs of the Palestinian community.
